No one in the small town of Bear Creek has seen Jim in over a decade and he just wants to be left alone. Just when the reader might think this novel is a mystery, the story takes a hard right turn.

A farmer collapses in his tomato fields after suffering a fatal heart attack. Weeks later, the heir to the farm begins to work the land when they soon discover holes are being dug throughout the fields. Broken glass and tire tracks surround each excavation as does the mystery of what the culprits are searching for. Destruction, mystery, and turmoil plague a family in a small town in 1951.

WHAT LIES INSIDE

Five years after the horrific murder of an entire family, locals have deemed the family’s vacant farmhouse to be haunted. Jessica Calvert, a journalist from Washington, D.C. is sent to the sleepy town of St. Clair, Pennsylvania to investigate claims of a light randomly turning on and off in an upstairs bedroom. After digging too deep, she discovers that the only way out of a frightening and gruesome situation is to keep digging.
